JLG Forklift Parts - In the late 1960's John L. Grove, with his wife Cora started out on a cross country voyage in their RV. Newly retired, after spending several years working with his brother to assemble their crane business into an industry leader, John had no idea that fateful trip would permit JLG Industries, Inc to emerge. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision material handling technologies was the end result of a road expedition.

All through their trip, John reacquainted himself with past business associates along the way. In combination with these conversations and a noteworthy event; two workers had been unfortunately electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were passing through the Hoover Dam. John uncovered an infinite market for a product that could swiftly and safely lift people in the air to accomplish maintenance and other construction functions.

After their return from vacation, John set up a partnership with two of his friends and purchased a metal fabricating business in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. Starting with a small crew of twenty workers, they produced and sold their first JLG aerial work platform in 1970. The company incorporates many of the basic design essentials of that original lift into existing models.

Since then, JLG Forklifts have come a long way from when Mr. John L. Grove returned from his fatefull cross-country journey and since the first JLG aerial platform entered the market. As of today, the company has extended itself into several global markets and continues to cultivate modern machinery to guarantee that customers are able to become safer and more well-organized within their workplace.
