Cascade Clamps - Established in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company started as a small machine shop hiring only four individuals. Overall sales for that initial year amounted to about $60,000. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and other components. Within five years of operation, the company had expanded to 40 staff and their annual sales volume had increased to 330 thousand dollars. At present, Cascade is among the top global makers in the material handling industry.

Manufacture and design of the company's first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive quest of new business opportunities. Over the last sixty years, the material handling industry has grown into a very sophisticated area and Cascade has proudly performed a part in this growth. Cascade at the moment continues to develop as the premier supplier of forklift attachments and various associated items. The company feels certain in their capability so as to continue to lead the way within the business by understanding client's requirements in the future and remaining competitive within the global market.

In the 1950's, Cascade began designing, manufacturing and advertising hydraulic accessories. Manufacturing was finished in the year 1956 on a brand new office in order to house all of the plant and office operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's present headquarters. Following fifteen years of business, total workers reached one hundred eighty workers and sales had reached practically $2,300,000.

In the year 1964, the company changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. After that in 1965, the business went public with an initial offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Ever since then the company has expanded its manufacturing services within the continental USA to the locations Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already existing plants in Springfield, Ohio and Portland, Oregon. Cascade merchandise are made globally thanks to numerous subsidiary operations.
